Feb 23, 2011 Update on Mike

Dad’s condition is stable. After another CAT scan, the doctors informed us that the bleeding in the brain had stopped. He is much more alert and is responding well to physical and occupational therapy. The doctors have approved his transfer to room 434 in the rehab ward of the hospital.

Many thanks for your prayers, good wishes and messages on this blog. Michael reads them all. For those of you who cannot post messages and would like to, please send them to me and I will post them.

  6. I am so sorry to hear about uncle Mickie. This is sad but then again, he is recovering well and that's what matters the most. I tell you, my family has been through a similar experience with my father suffering from a stroke in late 2008. But with a strong will power, with good occupartional therapy, and also good understanding of the root cause to control the high BP, the choloestrol, and other levels - my father is soo much better today. I am sure that uncle Mickie is in good hands and he is strong willed and he will rebound.
Take care and if there is any information you need on specific exercise equipment then please let me know as I researched a lot with the whole occupational therapy side of things for my dad.

Our love to you all and please kiss your mum and dad from us.
    love

  8. Mickey, you are a champion on the golf course and on the course of life. You are going to beat this one . You have the best wife on this planet, my beloved cousin, Madge and with your amaziing kids, Michelle and Mark, you have it all.
The poet said, "more things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of "
The guy up there is being bombarded with so many messages. especially from Winslow, Arizona and Madonna house, Canada that he has asked St. Peter to download all he can about you. There was one thing that caught his attention..."personal friend of The Most Rev. Bishop William Gomes" , who sits next to the Holy Trinity . You know in Heaven it works the same way: it's not what you know but whom you know.So that's all the info I was able to scoop for you today.
Good luck, good health,God bless you.
